William Clayton maintains a national civil trial practice, has tried more than 100 jury or non-jury cases or matters, and has handled cases in state or federal courts from Florida to New York, from Illinois to South Dakota, and from Nevada to California. In the 2009 edition of Corporate Counsel Super Lawyers, William was named a "Top Attorney in Business Litigation" in the United States. A national organization of judges and accomplished and select civil trial attorneys from both the plaintiffs and defense bars, American Board of Trial Advocates, chose William as a member and ABOTA's National President wrote Clayton's membership evidences his "high personal character, honorable reputation, and proficiency as a trial lawyer." He is also board certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, which is a national program certifying trial advocates predicated on high standards of demonstrated competence and who "posses an enhanced level of skill and expertise in trial advocacy and have demonstrated integrity and dedication to the interests of their clients." In both Florida and Nevada, he is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Expert. William has been consistently AV Peer Review Rated - the highest possible -- by the peer review rating publication, Martindale-Hubbell. William concentrates his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation and is frequently retained as lead trial counsel by NYSE and NASDAQ companies.
