Our Appellate Practice Group is a sub-section of the Litigation Practice Group, the largest department in the firm, with more than 50 attorneys and paralegals. Our litigators represent local, regional, national and international clients in all types of civil proceedings in state and federal courts and in administrative and arbitration hearings.
We are experienced in handling all aspects of pretrial, trial, appellate and post‑judgment proceedings. Our litigators are particularly skilled in handling difficult and protracted commercial litigation involving numerous parties and complex claims. Computerized legal research, litigation support systems and trained legal assistants aid our trial lawyers in controlling complicated cases.
Members of the Appellate Practice Group handle appeals for both appellees and appellants in a wide variety of matters through all levels of the federal and state systems. Our appellate attorneys have successfully resolved disputes in all of the Firm's litigation subspecialty practices. We also represent registered representatives and Broker Dealers in securities arbitration before the N.A.S.D. and administrative matters before the N.Y.S.E.
