Dale Paul DiMaggio, the managing partner of the firm, is a patent attorney with over twenty-five years experience in prosecuting and litigating patent, trademark, unfair competition, trade secret, and copyright matters. His technological background ranges from sophisticated electronics to complex mechanical systems, relying on his years of patent prosecution experience as well as his background as an electrical engineer for the Defense and Electronics System Center of the Westinghouse Corporation. His experience includes digital signal processors for long-range radar systems, wireless communication electronics, computer architecture, hardware and software, electromechanical devices, control systems and instrumentation, internet applications and business methods, manufacturing processes, and medical technology.

Mr. DiMaggio spends a substantial amount of time involved with the strategic planning in the creation, management, and commercialization of corporate intellectual property portfolios. This includes multi-faceted transactions and licensing. He is involved in the protection of clients’ proprietary rights, and often acts as the principal litigator in infringement lawsuits.

Mr. DiMaggio was born in Encino, California, July 12, 1956. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with High Honors from the University of Florida in 1978, and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 1983. He was admitted in 1984 to the Indiana and Florida Bars. He is a Florida Bar Board Certified Expert in Intellectual Property Law, and admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal and Eleventh Circuits, U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and Middle and Southern Districts of Indiana. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society and Phi Delta Pi. He is also a member of the Broward County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. Mr. DiMaggio is a member and former President of the Patent Law Association of South Florida, and also is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the International Trademark Association.
