Carin Marie Porras is a board certified marital and family law attorney and the current secretary of Family Law section of the Florida Bar.

Ms. Porras grew up in Foxboro, Massachusetts, and went to college at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. She graduated with a double major in French and Spanish.

Ms. Porras has lived in Florida since 1987. She graduated with honors from the University of Miami Law School in 1994. She is a member of the Bar in Florida, New York and New Jersey. Ms. Porras has been a member of the firm since May 1995.

Ms. Porras is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, where she served as the chair of the Family Law Section in 2004–2005 and as co-chair in 2005–2006.

She is also an active member of the Family Law Section of the Florida. Ms. Porras is a past co-chair of the Attorney's Fees & Ethics Committee (2004–2005); the past chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee (2007-2009); the past editor of the Family Law Section's quarterly newsletter, the "Commentator"; (2005–2007) the past co-chair of the Publications Committee (2005–2007); and a past vice chair of the Support Issues Committee. Ms. Porras has been a member of the Legislative Committee for the past three years. She is also currently a co-chair of the Family Law Section's Marital and Family Law review course.

Ms. Porras served on a Grievance Committee for the Florida Bar from (2000–2004) and she was chairperson of her committee in 2004. She is also a member of Broward Lawyers Care and FLAG (Family Law Advisory Group).

Ms. Porras has published many articles, including the chapter "Marriage" in the 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2006 supplements to the Adoption, Paternity and other Florida Family Practice manual produced by the Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education.

Ms. Porras has been recognized by Super Lawyers for her excellence in the field of family law and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Ms. Porras is fluent in Spanish and French.
