Family law mediation is an alternative to traditional litigation. A mediator is a neutral third party, who assists and facilitates the negotiation of an agreement between the parties, without having to complete the case through litigation. Under current Family Law Rules, mediation is a required step before trial, or in some cases, before any temporary relief hearings may be scheduled. All discussions at or concerning mediation are confidential and not subject to disclosure. Mediation is not arbitration, since the parties are not bound unless they voluntarily agree to the final result. Family Law mediation can save thousands of dollars in litigation expenses, if the parties are able to reach an amicable agreement. Having a skilled mediator is critical to achieving such an agreement.
Bob has been a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator for many years. He has conducted hundreds of family law mediations, and firmly believes in the value and underlying philosophy of mediation. He has received Family Law Mediation referrals from fellow attorneys, judges, clients and other specialists and professionals. An important aspect of his practice includes conducting Family Law Mediations.

Bob was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He is a native Floridian, who attended both undergraduate school and law school in South Florida. He has been a sole practitioner in Broward County, Florida, since 1984. He has been practicing Marital and Family law since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1980. Bob is Florida Bar Board Certified In Marital and Family Law, and has been since 1995. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Martimonial Lawyers, since March, 2000. Bob has also achieved the highest possible "AV" lawyer rating by Martindale Hubbell. In addition, he has been included as one of Florida's "Superlawyers" for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He is also listed as a "Top Lawyer" in the prestigious South Florida Legal Guide, for the past several years including 2009. Bob is also Florida Supreme Court Certifed as a Family Law Mediator and has been so designated for years. Recently, Bob became trained in Collaborative Law by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Bob is past chairperson of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association. While some "family law practitioners" practice marital and family law in addition to other areas of law, Bob has devoted his practice, since 1995, exclusively to marital and family law.
